Maisha Mazuri means beautiful life in Swahili.
Our name reflects the vision of our company: we could all be living a beautiful life, and while plenty are, many face limitations in doing so often stemming from systemic issues in society. We aim to tackle systemic problems in society through profit-seeking yet socially responsible entrepreneurship. We believe such activities can stimulate healthy competition encouraging the innovation of creative solutions… as long as this is guided by a strong moral compass.

YOUR PARTNER IN CHANGE.
Tjeerd (TJ) Braunius
Founder
Settling in Asia, Europe, and the Caribbean has continuously challenged me to operate outside the boundaries of my comfort zone and has laid the foundation to my proactive approach and empathic skillset.
Throughout my career, I have gained in-depth experiences with various components of management, strategy, and organizational change in fast-paced, start-up settings. The focus of my work has been to find scalable solutions for the challenges we came across, which was often greatly enabled by my ability to connect and develop close relationships with those I worked with. It has been exciting to see the effectiveness of my approach across a range of domains including Leadership, Strategy & Management, Business Development, Finance, Audit, Human Resources, and Recruitment.
In my personal life, I’m a big fan of being outside & active, travelling, spending time with friends & family, cooking, and listening to- & making music (I sing and play the piano).
